I have such a low tolerance for stupidity when ethics are involved. Three or so of my Facebook friends (from high-school, predictably) are making fun of this vegan girl for saying that it is murder to be a non-vegan (maybe she chose the wrong wording there, the sentiment is cruel) but that it is okay to have an abortion.

THIS IS A REAL PICTURE OF A FETUS AT 8 WEEKS! DO U THINK ABORTION ISN’T MURDER NOW?!?!?

THIS IS WHAT AN ABORTION ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE

Tragically beautiful.

HE COULD HAVE CURED CANCER

You know what statistics I really, really need for this assignment? How much pro-lifers actually know about abortion/the science of it. Ah, if only I could get some kind of survey going with enough people to fill it out over the next couple of days…

You know what pro-choice argument I’m sick of hearing?

“You can’t have an opinion on abortion without a uterus.”

As if to imply you can only make logical judgments if you have experienced/or are going to experience something personally.

You should be prolife because babies are cute. You could make a cute thing!

Can’t they just support abortion by saying God works in mysterious ways?

1/3 of Our Generation is Missing Due to Abortion

Those are our best friends, girl-friends, boy-friends, and classmates.  Fellow teens, lets come together and defeat abortion before the next generation suffers even more.  We need to be the Pro-Life generation!

Yes, 1 third of our MASSIVELY oversized generation.

Here’s a little more of a descriptive picture of how abortion works. How terrible! Such inhumanity. PRO-LIFE! Everyone has rights, even fetuses.

According to a study conducted in 2003, a mere 1.4% of abortions were performed past 20 weeks of development. Source.

If you’re using the argument that a fetus looks like a small baby, to me, you’ve pretty much admitted you have an emotional and illogical opinion on the matter and I can no longer take you seriously. Just because it looks like something you can identify snuggling up with and putting in blue/pink clothes, doesn’t mean that’s what it is. Just because you can identify something with having a good time in a family setting and all the celebrations, doesn’t mean everyone else feels the same thing when it comes to the gradual development of human life. I mean, honestly, the only reason why we put so much value on early human development is because that’s what our genetics and society and all those other things make us inclined to do and feel.

Can you imagine all the media coverage this would get?  Can you imagine how quickly this would be stopped?  This world is sick.

Really? We support the massacre of animals all the time through animal farming, testing and who knows what else. Those sometimes involve domestic animals (although honestly it brings me to absolute tears of frustration how we can make a disconnect between non-domestic animals, but suddenly our heart strings are pulled when it’s an animal we can identify with having in our home and snuggling up to at night), and there’s a lot of people are happy to be oblivious to the goings on in those departments.

To the pro-lifers out there

What made you come to the opinion that abortion is wrong?

ooh, the painful irony…

Yes, it is true that you need to have a sense of consciousness to have an opinion.

A beating heart doesn’t make something alive. Our heart can still beat even though we’re dead. True story.
